At Homewell, we understand that shopping can be physically demanding, especially for our clients who may have difficulty doing it alone. That’s why we offer a service where our Care and Support workers can pick up clients and take them out for their weekly shopping. This service can include not only grocery shopping, but also bill payments, window shopping, or even a coffee or lunch outing, depending on the client’s wishes and availability.
For clients who prefer not to go out, our Care workers can also do the shopping on their behalf with a provided list. Once the shopping is done, our Care workers can assist with putting it away as well.
Our Homewell Care Workers can provide support with a range of tasks which include:
- Driving to and from the shops,
- Carrying shopping bags,
- Assisting in the supermarket,
- Preparing light meals,
- Helping with the use of eating utensils and feeding if required.
We can also accommodate special diets due to religious, cultural or health reasons. Our goal is to make sure that our clients feel supported and comfortable while maintaining their independence.
