Our Free Care Program provides you with up to 12 weeks of home care support at no cost – for anyone stuck on the home care package national waitlist for 6+ months.
It's our way of giving back to the community we serve and helping you when you need it most.
How it works

Care assessment
We complete all the necessary health & safety reviews and get you signed up.
Step 3
Getting started
We begin coordinating your weekly visits to get you that extra helping hand.
What help can I receive?
Cleaning
Light cleaning duties, such a vacuuming, mopping the floor, or cleaning surfaces.
Laundry
Help with washing your laundry and folding clothes.
Shopping
Our Care Companions can help you collect your food shopping, or do it for you.
Meal Prep
Need a hand in the kitchen? We can help you meal prep your food, or cook for you.
Companionship
Looking for someone to keep you company? Our Care Companions can offer friendly conversation and emotional support.

The sign-up for the Free Care Program was so simple. Narelle brought the paperwork out, we sat down with a cup of tea, and we signed it then and there.

Who is eligible?
You only need to meet 2 criteria:
- Have been on the National Waitlist for a Home Care Package for more than 6 months.
- Live in a post code that we service.
Do I pay you back once I start my package?
Can I access CHSP services at the same time?
Yes. Our free support adds to any other care you are receiving.
Do I have to sign up with you once I get my Support at Home package?
Do I have to be approved for Support at Home Funding?
Yes. You need to be approved and on the waitlist to be eligible.
Are there any cancellation fees?
No, you can cancel any time without costs or penalties.
Why are you providing this service?
As a local provider, we’ve seen how stressful the waitlist can be on families in our community. This is our way of giving back and making life a bit easier while you wait for your package to start.
